almotamar.net - Head of the State Authority for the Book Dr Faris al-Saqqf announced Wednesday that 270 Arab publishing houses are expected to take part in Sana'a 24th Book Fair scheduled next November.
Al-Saqqaf said Egypt will be at the forefront of participating countries as it would contribute with 110 publishing houses, then Jordan with 35, Syria 32, Lebanon 27, Saudi Arabia 15 and 14 Arab governmental sides.
Al-Saqqf added there will be pavilion for he Arab Publishers Federation and there will be signing on Yemen Figures Encyclopedia and a number of works in a number of knowledge and cultural fields.
He pointed out that the fair will witness the Yemeni Writers and Publishers Union Organisation joining the Arab Publishers Federation as well as holding several symposiums and lectures and literary evenings. He said Sana'a Book Fair is the second in place Arab fair next to Cairo Fair.
