almotamar.net - An interior ministry official source on Sunday stated that Jamal al-Badawi, the second person accused in the case of blasting the American Destroyer SS Cole in 2000 offshore Aden Port and who surrendered to security authorities is currently under arrest and subject to interrogation by concerned authorities.

A security source had on 16 October announced that Jamal al-Badawi, on of al-Qaeda operative and one of the 23 escapees from the political security prison had turned himself in to security authorities.

The appeals section in Sana'a has previously commuted sentence of the criminal court from death to 15 years imprisonment.
