almotamar.net - The Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabh lauded Monday the sisterly relations of his country with Yemen and affirmed they have returned to previous situation. The Emir also affirmed Kuwait's and the Gulf Cooperation council states preparedness to offer support for Yemen in all areas of development and the work on enhancing its security, stability and unity.
That came during his meeting Monday with Yemen's foreign minister Dr Abubakr al-Qirbi in Kuwait. Dr al-Qirbi conveyed to the Kuwati Emir a written message from president Ali Abdullah Saleh dealing with relations between the two peoples and ways of strengthening them especially in economic and investment fields and the security cooperation in the way serving the two countries interests.
The meeting also discussed Yemen's relations with the GCC states and activation of agreements signed between them in various fields and setting mechanisms for speeding up Yemen's economic incorporation with the GCC states.
The Emir of Kuwait asked Dr al-Qirbi to convey his greetings to president Saleh wishing him good health and progress and prosperity for the Yemeni people.
