almotamar.net - An official source at the General Secretariat of the General People's Congress (GPC) has on Monday considered the talks by Abdulwahab al-Anisy and Sultan al-Atwani in the city of Aden on Sunday as completely contradicting what they expressed before the president of the republic of keenness on the social peace and the national unity and the control of any ramifications that could create insecure and unstable atmospheres among the citizens loyal to their national unity.
The source said those statements regretfully indicate that the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) leaderships do not have any credibility regarding what they display in front of the president of the republic and endeavour to show themselves with another face in front of the extremists in their parties.
The source emphasised that what those leaderships were doing does not represent what the unionist masses believe in the Yemen Socialist Party, the Nasserite Unionist Organisation and the Islah. He said the evidence of that is the application offered the GPC leadership receives daily from members and cadres of those parties to join the GPC.
The source queried by saying don't those leaderships feel ashamed of announcing statements and allegations that the GPC is trying to hinder the question of dialogue while les than 24 hours elapsed since meeting with the president and his sponsor of dialogue? He considered those stances as revealing the actual insincere intentions with others especially with the GPC. The source added that the GPC and despite all those attempts for impeding the dialogue, when it puts all issues on table of dialogue, works on implementing the election programme of president Ali Abdullah Saleh upon which he won confidence of the people.
The GPC official source said the party General Secretariat would continue its dialogue whether with parties of the JMP or the rest of the opposition parties and civil society organisations in Yemen according to the agreed upon agenda, considering that as confirmation of the principle of dialogue in the GPC believes as the sole way for reaching at a national vision for the future of the democratic process and the political, economic, social and cultural renascence of the country and the safe way for consolidating the national unity and social peace.
The source concluded his statement by confirming to all social forces that those "bubbles" would not impede the Yemeni, Arab and foreign investors from continuing their development activities that would yield positive results for the improvement of the living standard of the people and alleviation of poverty and unemployment.
