almotamar.net - Yemen's minister of defence Staff Major General Mohammed Nasser Ahmed and deputy chief of staff for training affairs Staff General Ali Saeed Ubaid on Tuesday have seen of army Special Forces units leaving for Egypt to participate in military maneuvers held every two years on the Egyptian territories and taking part in them units from a number of Arab and European countries.

During his meeting with the departing units the minister of defence affirmed the importance of their scientific comprehension and active participation in the maneuver and acquisition of more military combat skills provided by direct sharing with participating forces. He affirmed that the participation also is aimed at training, cooperation and experiences.

The participation in the 20-day maneuver comes for raising the combat efficiency through this drill that is considered one of the highest types of training.
