almotamar.net - Yemen and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Friday agreed to add the $150 million, specified to funding water dams in Yemen, to the UAE pledges offered at the London donor conference. So the total grant of the UAE for financing development projects in Yemen got up to $650 million.

On the other hand the Yemeni deputy premier, the minister of planning and international cooperation Abdulkarim Ismael al-Arhabi and Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zaid Al Nhayan, the UAE foreign minister today signed an understanding memorandum with Abu Dhabi Fund for Development on allocating $310 million of the UAE pledges for funding project of priority in the investment programme of the Yemeni third five-year plan.

Al-Arhabi and Sheikh Al- Nhayan discussed acceleration for completing procedures of using financial resources offered by the UAE for financing the development activities of the Yemeni republic.
