almotamar,net - Yemen has got a $25 million-worth grant from the World Health Organisation(WHO) in support of its health and population activities for the years 2008 and 2009.
The agreement was signed in the Egyptian capital Cairo Thursday for the Yemeni side by the minister of Public Health and Population Dr Abdulkaim Yahya Rasie and for the WHO by its Regional Director Dr Hussein Abdulrazaq al-Jazaeri.
Meanwhile the Yemeni Health Minister discussed with the WHO official the ongoing arrangements for the inauguration of the comprehensive national campaign for curbing polio to be carried out next year with the aim of declaring Yemen an area free from polio.
