almotamar.net - Interior Minister Dr Rashad al-Alimi on Tuesday said the Yemeni armed forces will remain the long arm in confronting anyone trying to harm the homeland and its gains as they are the supporter of security forces in keeping public peace and preserving public and private property.

Minister al-Alimi asserted that the campaign of preventing armed phenomena has achieved great results and contributed greatly to reduction of crime including crimes of murder in various areas of Yemen's governorates.

During his meeting with military units and security forces in the governorate of Saada Tuesday the Deputy Premier, the Minister of Interior Dr al-Alimi valued the role of citizens in al governorates and Saada in particular and their cooperation with security forces and response to the campaign of preventing the carrying of weapons inside the major cities.

The Minister also praised the efforts of military units and security apparatuses for supporting the process of development and preserving security, stability and foiling all internal and external conspiracy plans.

The minister also conveyed congratulations of President Ali Abdullah Saleh to the armed forces and security there on Eid Al-Adha.
