almotamar.net - Head of the Information Office of the General People's Congress (GPC) Tareq al-Shamy has Thursday considered the fifth anniversary of the assassination of Jarallah Omar, while attending meetings of the third conference of the Yemeni Congregation for Reform (Islah) Party on 28 December 2002 as an occasion to consider the principles which Jarallah Omar believed. They were the principles that he believed concerning preservation of the national unity, discarding of regional and secessionist tendencies, acts of violence and terror, corruption, instigation of hatred and the culture of killing and accusing others of infidelity and the claim of monopolizing the fact and on the other hand to be biased to the masses and their right to manage their affairs in addition to embodiment of the democratic practice ands work for imposing prestige and sovereignty of law on all.
In a statement toalmotamar.net al-Shamy said the real commemoration of the anniversary of Jarallah Omar martyrdom comes through adoption of these values for which he struggled and offered his life for them at time when some of his comrades were standing on the other bank in confronting those values and those comrades are themselves practicing the acts that offend the national unity and taking advantage of issues of demand by instigating secessionist tendencies and hindrance of the process of development.
On the other hand al-Shamy commented on a statement by the JMP spokesman on the formation of a shadow government by saying the JMP is unable to offer any thing new to the society and its election programme was rejected by the majority of the people and the citizens realize inability of the JMP parties and still remember their practices while they were in power and the ways with which they dealt with the society. He accused the JMP of pursuing a way of outbidding in their political performance and reality has proved they are not serious in dealing with issues of the society and preservation of its unity, development and security.
