almotamar.net - Public Health and Population Undersecretary Dr Majid Yahya al-Junaid on Saturday said Yemen is completely free from the virus of bid flu disease and pointed out that the national committee entrusted with taking precautionary procedures against bird flu is to meet this week.

Speaking to almotamar.net Dr al-Junaid made it clear that the committee is to discuss taking strict preventative measures in line with the visions expected to be presented by the ministries of agriculture and health to the meeting and after approving them.

Health Undersecretary added the committee is also to approve preventing importation of birds from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in addition to a report on the Indian experiment on procedures of preventative fighting and treatment of bird flu disease.
