almotamar.net - The General People's Congress (GPC) on Saturday called on the Arab and Islamic nations to declare clear and practical stands in support of the Palestinian people, demanding the convention of urgent summit for rescuing the Palestinians from aggression and tyranny and brutality of the Zionist entity and to adopt deterrent steps against the aggression.

The GPC Assistant Secretary General for the Political and External Relations Sultan al-Barakani said in his address to the million demonstration, organised by the GPC in support for the Palestinian people in Sana'a Saturday, " We renew the promise for the Palestinian people by the Yemeni people and the brave leader president Ali Abdullah Saleh who has given the Palestinian cause most o his interest and constituted the courageous stands by the Palestinian right at various Arab and Islamic forums and in all international stands and occasions. "

Al-Barakani announced in the name of those massive masses that they are with the Palestinian people who are defending their right to restore their usurped land and their soil occupied by the Zionist enemy the usurper of the Arab land and Islamic sanctities and that the brethren under the siege in Gaza, the Bank and Al-Quds and the entire of the land of Palestine.

The Assistant Secretary General al-Barakani added that Yemen is with the struggle waged by the Palestinian people for the regaining of their usurped land and establishment of their Palestinian State on their national soil with al-Quds as its capital as a legitimate right guaranteed by all heavenly laws and international agreements and conventions and reiterated the call on the world free people to stand by the people of Palestine for their legitimate rights.

The GPC also demanded the international legitimacy to implement its resolutions on the Palestinian issue and the right of the people of Palestine to restore their usurped land and establishment of their independent state and repel the usurper occupier that has been committing the most brutal crimes against the children, women, the elderly people and the defenceless and used the internationally-prohibited weapons , destroyed the agricultural lands and imposed blockade on the Palestinian people in Gaza and the Bank under the nose of the world and international legitimacy and advocates of human rights.

The GPC reiterated the call for the Arab leaders on the necessity of holding an emergency Arab summit to stand in the face of the aggression and unite stands and join the ranks as well as to sense the Zionist danger and put an end to this humiliation and to take practical steps to deter the aggression and preserve the dignity of the nation.
