Almotamar.net - The Human Rights Information & Training Centre (Hritc) has on Monday called on activists and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), the political parties and media institutions to adopt a comprehensive national campaign for the woman rights in Yemen.

A press release issued by the Hritc almotamar.net received a copy of it considered that with the entire world celebration on 8 March of the International Women's Day that is an excellent opportunity for human rights activists to revise the action march fro enhancement of the principle of equality and to be fair concerning the entire rights of the woman.

The press release added that the upcoming parliamentary elections in Yemen would be an excellent chance that should be seized to confirm the positive stand towards the woman participation in the political life. The statement affirmed the necessity of making the year 2008 as a year for the woman rights through the elections of April 2009 in Yemen for the strengthening the woman's role in the political participation.

The Hritc statement also affirmed the necessity that the political parties and organisations to adopt a full plan on how to push for the Yemeni woman participation in the upcoming elections and to bear the historical and moral responsibility regarding that.
