Almotamar.net - A meeting held Saturday evening by the parliamentary committee on studying amendments of the elections law resulted in requested delegates of parliamentary blocs to inform their parties that the committee composed of the rights and freedoms committee, a chairman and reporter of constitutional affairs would next Saturday take the procedures under authorization of the constitution and the law refer its report to the parliament on the amendments concerning the formation of the supreme commission for elections from judges.

Chairman of the committee sheikh Mohammed Bin Naji al-Shaef told almotamar.net that over three months the committee tried to consider the political character of the amendments and giving a chance for accord among the parties, adding, " I think the time was enough and we don't have much time, the considering the law of elections entails commitments to the supreme commission to prepare according to timetables for the parliamentary scheduled in April 2009.

Al-Shaef affirmed that the committee is concerned basically about carrying out its tasks according to the parliament rules of procedure and the assignment approved in late last year.
