Almotamar.net - An official source at the General People's Congress (GPC) has welcomed Monday the talk of the Secretary General of the Yemen Socialist Party (YSP) Dr Yassin Saeed Nouman on the necessity of engaging all the political forces and civil society organisations in any dialogue related to the national issues and any public affair concerns all sons of the Yemeni people.
Member of the GPC's General Committee Yasser al-Awadhi affirmed Monday that participation of all political forces and civil societies in dialogue is a GPC demand since the beginning of the call for dialogue, reminding at the same time that the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) was the one that insisted on limiting the dialogue to the GPC and parties of the JMP.
Al-Awadhi added that nevertheless the GPC conducted dialogues with the JMP at one time and with parties represented at the parliament as well as with other parties outside the parliament. In addition, the GPC held dialogue with civil society organisations, considering the importance of engaging all the national forces in dialogue on issues concerning the future of the homeland.
Al-Awadhi said because the GPC behaves out the sense of responsibility towards all of the national issues it considers the call of the YSP Secretary General to all political forces and civil society organisations sitting at the dialogue table as a return to the right which the GPC has always been suggesting in all its calls for dialogue. He reaffirmed the GPC's view that participation of in dialogue is the best option that guarantees success of any future dialogue.
