Almotamar.net - An information source at the General People's Congress (GPC) on Monday was surprised of the state of tense and disturbance displayed by some leaderships of the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) regarding many of its members participation in elections of the mayor of the capital and governors of provinces, especially in Aden, Hadramout, Taiz, Lahj, Al-Dhalie, Abyan, Sana'a, and Shabwa, that Yemen held on May 17.

The source sais," It is regrettable that those leaderships live in high ivory towers and isolated from their bases that have chosen to take the side of the homeland and democracy and exercised their democratic right. Those were of high degree of awareness and sense of responsibility and did not submit to those disturbed calls by some leaderships of the JMP that called for boycotting the elections."

Meanwhile, the GPC information source praised participation of members of the JMP parties of governors of provinces, saying that reflects the high spirit of patriotism of those members and their realization of the importance of this step in the course of democracy and expansion of participation in running the local affairs.
