Almotamar.net - Chairman of the Bridges of Culture Forum Dr Abdulkarim al-Eryany said Tuesday that the Symposium on Religious and Political Tolerance in Yemen aimed at deepening and consolidating religious and political indulgence, indicating it was the first activity of its kind organized by the Bridges of Culture Forum.
Whether the symposium has any relation with the sedition events that al-Houthi provoked in Saada and the events occurred in some governorates, Dr al-Eryany said the symposium calls for indulgence and arbitration of reason and to keep away from violence and to the principle of dialogue and the party that wants that the door is open and the party that wants the reverse that is also open.
In a statement he gave to the media following wrapping up the symposium he expressed his hope that the symposium should be followed by others to be organized by civil society organizations for the sake of contributing to the consolidation of indulgence, dialogue and culture open to all.
Dr al-Eryany pointed out to the symposium's review of history of the people of Yemen who proved they have lived in indulgence and violence was not the principle steering their life. He added that the missions the symposium sent was not confined to political parties but includes all.
