Almotamar.net, afp - A memorandum of understanding for supplying ships was signed at the Free Zone in Aden on Saturday by the Washington DC-based Viking Company. The memorandum included a project for supplying ships with fuel at an investment cost of approximately $100 million.
Official in charge at the Free Zone Dr Abduljalil al-Shuaibi made it clear in a press release obtained by almotamar.net that coordination would be made between relevant government institutions; the cabinet, ministry of transport and Aden refineries, in order to facilitate building the project that would employ 300 local workers.
On his [part the chairman of the American company's board of directors, signatory of the memorandum Ross Connolly affirmed that the company choice of the city of Aden for building the project is attributed to significance of its strategic location on the regional and international navigation route and visiting of many transcontinental ships it.
Mr Connolly also praised the facilities the Aden Free Zone offers to investment and investors .
