Almotamar.net - Yemen Minister of Culture Dr Abu Bakr al-Maflahi has on Thursday issued his directives for the protection of the historical Al-Manar Fortress that has come under acts of sabotage and digging.

A source in Ibb governorate told almotamar.net said the minister asked the governor of Ibb Ahmed Abdullah al-Hajri take urgent measures for the protection of the historical site situated in Al-Shaweafi village, district of Habish. The minister's directives came in the wake of information on the site exposure to digging and sabotage.

The source added that the governor gave his orders to directors of Antiquities, , Culture and Tourism Offices and Director General of the District to visit the site and prepare a report on what it was exposed to so that to take measures for the site protection.
