A government official has on Thursday revealed that specialized governmental committees have been formed to amend and correct some 30 Yemeni laws.
There are suggestions to amend no less than 40 laws in an effort to reflect the success vision of the government reform agendas, said Ali Saleh Abdullah , deputy Minister of Social Affairs.

Abdullah added the amendments aim to make the laws and legislatures comply with the democratic broad lines, and help enhance women positions, protect childhood and treat child trafficking issues and human rights fields.

In his speech in the conluding cermoney of the Disabled Care Program, Abdullah affirmed Yemen has submitted 10 international reports to the specialized human rights bodies. Yemen is among the Arab states that stick to submitting human rights reports on time, he noted.
According to Abdullah , over the past years, Yemen has signed about 60 international conventions related to human rights and freedoms.
