Almotamar.net - The delegation of the General People's Congress (GPC) currently on a visit to Syria on Sunday held meetings with leaderships of the Syrian Arab Ba'th Socialist Party and discussed with them relations of cooperation between the two parties and countries and means for enhancing them.
Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and External Relations at the GPC Sultan al-Barakani and his accompanying delegation discussed with the regional assistant secretary of the Ba'th party Mohammed Said Bakhitan ways of developing bilateral relations of the two parties. The two sides reviewed the situations and developments in the region and efforts of the countries in consolidation of the Arab solidarity and enhancement of the joint Arab action.
Mr al-Barakani expressed appreciation of the GPC of Syria's stands and national role under leadership of President Bashar al-Assad, praising Syria's support for the Arab just issues and its steadfastness against challenges.
The two sides also exchanged viewpoints on party work and the partisan experiment in leading the state and the society. They also stressed the necessity of cooperation and consultation in organisation and ideological questions I addition to mutual benefiting in the partisan experiment in different political, economic and social fields so that to strengthen bilateral communication in ideas, meetings and working papers between the two parties.
Meanwhile the GPC delegation discussed with Dr Adnan Arish, chairman of the revolution youth union relations of cooperation and means of benefiting from the Syrian experiment in foundation of the organisation and holding its different activities and in how to activate and implement the agreements signed by the two sides.
Al-Barakani emphasized the importance of benefiting from the youth organisation experiment and its developmental and human message s well as the importance of developing agreements of bilateral cooperation and activation and holding joint activities in the two countries.
On his part the head of the youth and students office at the GPC Arif al-Zoka pointed out the importance of benefiting from Syria's experiment in organisation of youth action and the experiments in organisation of conferences and symposiums pertaining to youth.
On his part Mr Arish reviewed the historical stages of the revolution youth union and its conferences in the past four decades and its national and pan-Arab goals , stressing the role of youth in enhancing stands and facing challenges and confirmed the importance of boosting relations of cooperation between youth sectors in both countries.
