Almotamar.net - Yemen has on Thursday welcomed signing an agreement of ceasefire between the interim government of Somalia and the alliance of Somalia opposition in Djibouti last Sunday.
The signed ceasefire agreement stipulated the stop f all hostilities beginning of the 5th of next November and the deployment of joint security force from the interim government and the opposition within 25 days as well as the beginning of Ethiopian forces from Somalia.
A source art the Yemeni Foreign Ministry called, in a statement quoted by 26 September newspaper, the Somali parties to commit to the agreement and to consider the Somali people interest and their aspiration fore the realisation of security and stability.
The source also called on the international community to support the agreement and to send is international peacekeeping force to Somalia in the manner enabling all parties signatory of the agreement to restore security and stability to entire Somalia in addition to find a solution to the phenomena piracy that threatens international navigation in the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
The Yemeni Foreign Ministry source expressed his hope that all Somali factions would join Djibouti agreement in the way preserving security, stability and unity of Somalia in addition to putting the high national interests above any consideration.
