almotamar.net - The governor of Hadramout province Salem Ahmed al-Khanbashi said Monday a project for building 300 houses, as a first phase, for the people affected in the areas hit with torrents. In a meeting held today for the committee of relief shelter in Hadramout Valley the governor called on relevant institutions to present plans for those houses to the implementing sides.

He has clarified that the cost of damage in Hadramout amounted to around YR 145 billion in econo9mic, agricultural, housing and services activities.


He pointed out that a council for civil defence will be set up in the governorate to carry out required measures for facing any natural disasters that might happen in the future.
