almnotamar.net - The organisation of Wefaq for Democratic Rehabilitation is carrying out a national programme for supporting the woman’s political participation and enhancement of rights and freedoms under financing by the European Union EU as part of Yemen Partnership Programme.

The programmes aims at supporting possibilities towards the woman participation in the political and civil rights through the increase in the number of women candidates in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The programme also aims at finding a real practice on part of the society individuals for their rights guaranteed in the constitution and the laws in Yemen as well as the international conventions, raising awareness about those right through the series of the Citizen Rights Directory intended to be publish 200 thousand of it and to be distributed in nine governorates, according to Wefaq organisation address delivered at the meeting on Yemen Partnership on the woman and the child rights held in Sana’a Saturday.

At the inaugural meeting patronized by the Yemeni Minister for Human Rights Dr Huda al-Ban the Charge d’Affaires of the EU Team in Yemen pointed out the European Commission’s reception of projects proposals until the mid of next April , confirming support of the Europeans for rights programmes in all the Yemeni governorates.
