almotamar.net - An information source at the General People’s Congress GPC denied Tuesday rumours repeated by media affiliated to the Joint Meeting Parties JMP the latest of which was that of resignation of the assistant secretary general for information sector Dr Ahmed Bin Daghr. That rumour has been lately published in Al Masdar newspaper financed by the Islah party; the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen.
The source deemed the false news on Bin Daghr resignation as continuation of the state of confusion in the political and information address of the JMP and a fresh proof on campaigns of targeting persons of the GC leaderships.
The GPC information source confirmed as groundless the reports mentioned in Al Masdar newspaper on resignation of Bin Daghr on the existence of differences inside the GPC. The source added the allegations published by the said newspaper on postponement of the upcoming parliamentary elections were mere illusions the parties of the JMP and their leaderships seek to convince themselves about them. The source stressed the holding of the elections will be in their date on 27 April 2009, demanding the newspaper and its officials as well as all the JMP media to raise above publishing rumours and to focus on dealing with issues of the people and the homeland. .
