almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Saturday has called for holding an Arab emergency summit in reaction to the barbaric Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip and the brutal massacres Israel is committing against the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip, so that to come out with a unified Arab stand against the those massacres and what the Palestinian people are suffering in Gaza as a result of the Israeli blockade imposed on Gaza.
Yemen news agency Saba said the President called on the two leaderships of the Palestinian movements Fatah and Hamas and the rest of active Palestinian leaderships to attend that summit for solving the differences and healing the rift in the Palestinian rank in service of the interest of the Palestinian people and their just cause.
Meanwhile, president Saleh received Saturday a telephone call from the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in which the two leaders discussed development of the situations in Palestine in the light of the war of annihilation and massacres perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people in Gaza. The two presidents also consulted the necessity of holding the Arab emergency summit regarding the Israeli massacres against the Palestinian people in Gaza.

President Saleh also received a telephone call from the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al- Thani. In the telephone conversation the two leaders talked about the necessity of holding the Arab emergency summit in response to the savage Israeli attack on the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip, stressing the importance of coming out with a united Arab stand ending suffering of the Palestinian people.
