almotamar.net - Member of the Supreme National Anti-Corruption Commission SNACC in Yemen Yassin Abdeh Saeed has affirmed Sunday the Commission’s keenness to deepen its partnership with various media instruments and civil society organisations for giving knowledge about corruption and working on fighting it and prevention of its dangers.
While opening on Sunday a workshop on a behaviour corpus for enhancement of integrity meant for media men and civil society organized by the Human Rights Information and Training Centre HRITC in the capital Sana’a, Mr Saeed pointed out that the SNACC is keen that the media to be at the forefront of the sides working on combating corruption, calling the attention to the large space that the Commission’s law has allocated for the media and civil society as active partners of the Commission in fighting corruption and protecting the society fro its dangers. He added that partnership is a confirmation that the issue of fighting corruption is that of the society and that all have to play their ole in it.
Forty participants in the workshop from different civil society organisations and the media are receiving training from the Egyptian expert in training Majdi Hilmi on skills related to enhancement of integrity , fighting corruption and ethics of the press and the civil society in addition to sittings on the media and the civil society and practical training on drafting two corpuses of behaviour for the media people and the civil society fir enhancement of integrity and combating corruption.
The two-day training course is part of the regional programme for fighting corruption led by the HRITC at the level of the Arab region in cooperation with the Middle East Partnership Initiative MEPI..
