almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Tuesday called on the United Nations Security Council to immediate interference for stopping the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip and ending the blockade imposed on it and to compel Israel government to implement relevant resolutions of the international legitimacy.
In his address to opening of the Sana�a Coalition for Economic, Security, Political and Cultural Cooperation Leaders�6th summit held Tuesday in the Sudanese capital Khartoum the President aid the United States alone that can stop that barbaric savage aggression and force Israel and convince the UN Security Council to take an immediate resolution for stopping the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
President Saleh drew the attention that convening the summit comes under important and speedy developments in the region and the world and that dictates to take a stand and coordinate towards the situation, at the forefr4ont of which what the Palestinian people in Gaza are exposed to savage and barbaric aggression and an iniquitous blockade by the Zionist entity.
On developments of the situation in Somalia and the negative impact it entails on the region�s states the President said, �We have called and are still calling on the international community to stand by the sisterly Somalia for reconstruction of its institutions and for the security and stability in the Horn of Africa and south of the Red Sea. �He added that continuation of the situation as it is, its reflections would be dangerous on the international security and peace, considering security instability and the piracy that threatens navigation in south of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden offshore the Somali coasts are the biggest evidence on that and a natural product of that instability.
The President maintained saying that Yemen warned about that very early the United States of America, the European Union and the neighbourly countries and sought to work together for reconstruction of these institutions , demanding the necessity of standing by Somalia for the reconstruction of its state institutions and establishment of security, stability and peace. He confirmed Yemen support for the efforts of the Somali reconciliation held in Djibouti lately for reaching formation of transient government built on basis of national accord among the Somalis themselves.
Concerning the Darfur region, west of Sudan, the President reaffirmed Yemen support for Sudan for the establishment of peace in the region. He also strongly condemned the interference in the Sudanese affair by the International Criminal Court, considering that flagrant interference in Sudan�s affairs. President Saleh said,� The Sudan is the one concerned with tackling its situations and we are ready to back up the brethren in Sudan.�
The President expressed his pleasure for taking part in the Sana�a Coalition summit opened in Khartoum on Tuesday. He pointed out the Coalition accomplishments in the past period and evaluated efforts of his Sudanese counterpart in the good preparation and planning for this summit. President Saleh said the Sana�a grouping is open to all the countries wishing to join it for the service of development and peace in the region.
