almotamar.net - The General People’s Congress GPC and parties of the National Coalition and civil society organisations staged Tuesday a woman demonstration and speech festival in the Yemeni capital Sana’a in expression of the Yemeni woman condemnation of the Zionist carnages against the Palestinian people. The massive rally was permeated with speeches by woman leaderships announcing their solidarity with the Palestinian woman and denunciation of the Zionist massacres against the Palestinian people claiming lives of tens of women and children. The participants in the festival raised banners condemning the Israeli aggression and the Arab and international silence towards the war of annihilation committed by the Zionist enemy.


Assistant Secretary General of the General People’s Congress for the woman sector Dr Amat al-Razzaq Ali Humad aid in her speech for the fourth consecutive day a savage aggression is going on and was begun with unjust blockade and then changed to a war of annihilation on the territories of Gaza against the Palestinian people with air raids using the latest helicopter gunship along with bombardment with missiles from sea and land incursion. She said what is going on is an unprecedented tragic situation the contemporary history has not witnessed similar to it. Houses are destroyed at night on their inhabitants and children are killed singly and in group and the number of victims is in hundreds and thousands of killed or wounded. 360 martyrs and 1700 wounded and the series of violence is still going on.

Ms Humad added all that happens before the world peoples, asking what savagery and arrogance are of the leaders of war in the Zionist entity? It is a war that exceeded imagination and violated all norms disregarding conventions and pacts and resolutions of the international legitimacy. She said the crime in Gaza Strip is more than any description and represents a challenge to human conscience. Humad also said the women gathering comes as part of solidarity activities with the people of Palestine the defenders of their land and their usurped legitimate rights. She demanded the Arab nation to take a serious stand adopted by the Arab League through the Arab emergency summit that President Ali Abdullah Saleh has taken the initiative for calling for it. And she also called on the Organisation of Islamic Conference to play its role in defending the sanctities and protection of the Palestinian people. She has also held the international community responsible against this crime.

The statement issued by the festival confirmed condemnation of the entire Yemeni people of the Zionist aggression on the Arab people of Palestine in Gaza Strip that left hundreds of martyrs and wounded. The statement demanded the free world and advocates of democracy to prove their credibility to stand by the Palestinian people and to face this Nazi aggression on defenceless people demanding for their freedom and right to peaceful life. The Yemeni women also asked the UN Security Council to use its authorities in stopping these savage massacres.
