Almotamar.net - Yemeni Banks Society, in collaboration with International Financing Foundation, holds Tuesday a conference on banking risks administration in a changing environment.

Chairman of Yemeni Banks Society YBS Ahmed Mohammed al-Khawi said Monday said the conference is the first of its kind in Yemen. It aims at casting a scrutinizing look at the importance of managing banking risks and discussing international practices in this regard.

He added the conference is to review viewpoints of experts specialized in this field and to benefit from them in enhancing efforts of the Central Bank of Yemen for strengthening activity of managing banking risks. He indicated that convening the conference comes under very dangerous world economic circumstances and situations.

The conference is to be attended by representatives for governmental sides and directors general of local and foreign banks as well as representatives for chambers of commerce and industry, relevant insurance companies and businessmen.
