Almotamar.net - Yemen parliament on Wednesday approved formation of a committee for fact-finding in the murder of Director General of Khadir district in which the one accused of committing are bodyguards of MP Ahmed Abbas al-Barti.

The committee is composed of a number of MPs and that is upon a letter from the Minster of Justice and the Attorney General addressed to the parliament requesting to lift immunity from al-Barti for starting interrogating him. MP refused request of the government before going through measures top be taken by parliament to learn about involvement of al-Barti and need of lifting immunity.

On the other hand, a report presented by services committee at the parliament affirmed that the percentage of finishing the firs stage of Mareb gas power station project reached at 96% up until the mid of last October in addition to obtaining funding from the Arab Fund by 77% and the Saudi fund by 33% for the supply of spare part for the station. According to the committee report the contract with Siemens Company will be signed soon.

The report mentioned that the consultant of the project endorsed works containing technical violations that forced the government to change him by another one with the Jordanian National Company to conduct consultancy services.
