Almotamar.net - Official security sources in Yemen disclosed Thursday that during the past few day security authorities have been able to arrest tem persons affiliate of al-Qaeda organisation from among a cell known as Qassim al-Raimy. The sources also said that the caught elements are mostly very young youth that have been recruited to carry out sabotage suicidal operations.

The sources added that security chasings carried out against those elements and others of those suspected of their affiliation of al-Qaeda organisation , especially in Assilan area , Shabwa governorate were implemented pursuant to what the security apparatuses have gained of information given by some of al-Qaeda members already been arrested , in addition to information given by Mohammed al-Aoufi and Abdullah al-Harbi , from a;-Qaeda organisation elements holding the Saudi nationality who have been caught lately by Yemeni security men and were handed over to Saudi authorities.

26 September weekly for today has quoted the sources as saying confessions of the arrested elements have disclosed the ways used by the elements who recruited them under the banner of jihad in Somalia whereas they were taken to Mareb where they submit to intensive sessions to influence their thinking psychologically and preparing them for implementing suicide operations with explosive belts or car bombs. They also undergo training on the use of weapons in some desert areas in Mareb and some of them in one of the rugged mountainous area in Abyan.

Some of the recruited elements under jihad in Somalia and Afghanistan, and after discovering the reality, they show strong resistance in refusing t carry out suicidal operations. To this they come under strong psychological pressures and the use of torture and coerciveness forcing them to submit.

Security apparatuses are preparing to publish a list of names and pictures of wanted Yemeni and Saudi elements in order to chase them and offering financial rewards to anyone gives information leading to arrest those elements.
