Almotamar.net - The Democratic School, General secretariat of Children Parliament in Yemen, is to organise on Monday a seminar on a program for protection of children against discrimination and violence. The Democratic School is organising the programme in partnership with the Coordination Body of non-governmental Organisations in Yemen for the welfare of Child rights and in cooperation with the European Union.

A press release by the School obtained by almotamar.net mentioned that the seminar to be attended by representatives local councils and for the poorest segments in districts of the capital , that are targeted by the programme , is aimed at teaching the targeted on activities of the project and its goals and the ways of cooperation with the local community.

The 14-month project targets 11 gatherings of the marginalized in the cap [ital and Taiz governorate in addition to activities held in schools within the targeted areas. activities include enlightenment on health, environment and children rights as well a enlightenment of the poorest marginalized societies and studying their legal and social situations with local councils and leaders of the poorest communities.


The project also includes training trainers on ways of protecting children in institutions from governorates of Hudeida, Hadramout, Haja, Aden, Taiz and the capital, in addition to workshops for employees at children care establishments on protection of children.
