Almotamar.net - Well-informed sources have said Monday that President Ali Abdullah Saleh has withdrawn from the closed-door and final meetings of the Doha Arab summit in protest to not giving him the opportunity to present Yemen’s initiative concerning the establishment of Arab States Union approved by the Arab parliament that accepted it and referred it to meeting of the summit in Doha.
The Yemeni initiative aims to activate mechanisms of the Arab joint action and enhancement of the Arab solidarity for facing the challenges that encounter the nation.
Head of the transitional Arab parliament Mohammed Jassim Al-Saqr ha renewed the call to Doha summit to adopt the initiative presented by Yemen for developing the Arab joint action.
Al-Saqr said in his address to opening of the Arab summit in Doha said the Arab parliament took the initiative of submitting the different issues of the nation in its ordinary and emergency sessions and its specialized committees and issued many decisions and recommendations that “we look forward to taking its way to implementation in your summit.”
Al-Saqr added,” Out of keenness of the Arab parliament on the Arab joint action it has expressed the importance of the proposal presented by the Yemeni republic in developing mechanisms of the Arab joint action and we hope to be adopted in your summit and the expectation is great that these acts would receive your blessing and support in the way providing it ways of success in them in completion for your efforts and a thought and popular support for building your resolutions. “
Al-Saqr also called for working on overcoming all considerations and sensitivities so that the Arab solidarity restores all its momentum and determination as it is the first condition for preserving the dignity of the Arabs and restoration of their rights and continuation of their existence. “
Al-Saqr elaborated by saying that the Arab parliament that has always adhered to the international legitimacy refuses the selective justice and the arrest warrant that was issued against the Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir and calls for solving this question in a balanced way in the Arab frames and out of the sovereignty of Sudan and every Arab country.
