Almotamar.net - The Capital Mayoralty has decided the choice of the headquarters building of the Tourism and Culture Libraries in the capital Sana’a downtown as a new House of the Folkloric Heritage for rescuing its contents that are threatened with damage in the crumbling previous building.
Chairwoman of the Folkloric Heritage House (FHH) in Yemen Arwa Uthman expressed Tuesday her appreciation for response of official establishments and official and civilian personalities to the distress call for rescuing the Folkloric Heritage House.
A press release by the FHH mentioned that the fruit of the positive interaction has been embodied by the visit paid by the State Minister, the mayor of the capital Abdulrahman al-Akwaa to the FHH last Saturday. During his visit al-Akwaa expressed his admiration of the efforts of the FHH in preserving the Yemeni Folkloric Heritage and its documentation, studying and publication in Yemen and international forums, affirming hat those efforts were able to present Yemen to world in its rich and diversified image.
The release added that Mr al-Akwaa stressed the necessity of providing a headquarters deserved by a museum reflecting the cultural diversity and its spectra in Yemen.
The FHH press release mentioned to almotamr.net that the building of the Culture and Tourism Libraries was chosen to be the headquarters of the FHH. The release also thanked stances of the Prime Minister Ali Mohammed Mujawar and the Minister of Tourism Nabil al-Faqieh who immediately responded to the FHH call and communication with concerned sides to rescue its contents. The release also expressed gratitude to efforts of the Minister of culture Dr Abu Bakr al-Maflahi.
The FHH statement also praised the stands of Yemeni businessmen, regional and international parties and personalities as well as the role of Yemeni press and writers that supported the FHH in this regard.
