Almotamar.net, Saba - Vice President Abdu Rabu Mansour Hadi inspected on Wednesday Assaleh Housing City Project for people of limited income. Hadi familiarized himself with the progress of the work of four- story level constructed of concrete. He, along with a number of ministers and Governor of Aden Adnan al-Jefri, toured a number of buildings in the project which is composed of 20 buildings, each of which consisted of 20 flats.

The project as a whole contains almost 2000 apartments with three types at an investment cost estimated at YR 8, 4 billion. The apartment is called housing unit. Every unit contains three rooms, two bathrooms, sitting room and kitchen.

The vice president directed speeding up finishing the project to face housing problems. He affirmed necessity of concerned authority's inspection to make this project useful to its real beneficiaries, taking into consideration easy installments not to affect livings of project's beneficiaries.

Minister of Pubic Works and Roads Omer al-Kurshomi affirmed that this giant project provides thousands of work opportunities for labourers and activates investment and construction.

He indicated that his ministry, via the Supreme Committee for Housing, has carried out a number of housing projects across the country's governorates as Aden comes first in line with president Saleh's electoral program. He pointed out the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs has contributed by supplying 120 flats.

Hadi also paid a visit to Aden Free Zone's management in Aden where he was briefed on the project of improving the industrial, storing and trade zone being constructed on an area estimated at 164 hectares with the cost exceeds $ one billion.

Concerned officials in the zone affirmed the project would help attract more local, Arab and foreign investment and would provide more than 10, 000 work opportunities.
