Almotamar.net - Local Administration undersecretary for institutional development sector , chairman of information committee for branch conferences of the local authority for 2009 Akram al-Sheikh on Wednesday called on all media instruments ; official, partisan and private sector for enlightenment and education on role of the local authority and development of its cultural and intellectual an administrative skills as well as achievement of local growth in a professional way on the administration of the local affair.

In the media meeting organised by the ministry of local administration he added that the media should enlighten on peculiarity of the administrative units and the local societies and importance of the local rule in building a democratic national state entertaining the power of viability and, continuation and development.

He has clarified that the media instrument shoulder the big role in enlightenment on the role of local societies in developing concepts of economic and social activities in the administrative units and their development. They have also the role of defining peculiarities geographical, climatic and economic units and diversity of local councils interests.

He also affirmed the necessity of informing on the local authority systems and administrative and financial decentralisation and on heading for a local rule with large powers meeting needs and requirements of reality and realising developmental, social and cultural progress. It s also necessary to give prominence to the national strategy and importance of moving to the local rule.

He has also reviewed the general directions of the media coverage plan of branch conferences and the special conference and executive programmes of the policy of the media coverage.
