Almotamar.net - Vice-President of Yemen Abid Rabu mansour Hadi on Thursday visited the province of Abyan during which he inspected and laid foundation stone for a number of development projects in areas of roads, youth and sport.

The Vice-President was received in the province by the governor, secretary general of the governorate�s local council, assistant of the governor, deputy chairman of the authority for the care for the Yemeni revolution martyrs families, members of the local councils and government offices and a number of sheikhs, notables and social and political figures as well as representatives of mass and social organisations.

The Vice-President has laid the foundation stone for a countryside50-km road linking districts of Luder-Mudia-Ahwar at a cost of YR one billion and 400 million. The road would be a new vital way to be benefited by farmers and owners of animal wealth in transport and marketing.
Hadi also inspected the progress of work in the project of widening the 50-km road of Aden-Abyan which is part of the projects of Gulf 20 currently under construction. He has also laid the foundation stone to a 14-km Al-Tiseen Street and the 45-km internal streets of the city of Zenjibar and Jaar. The Vice-President also laid the foundation stone to the Al-Saleh Housing city for the limited income citizens, consisting of 15 5-storey buildings and each building consists of 20 apartments.

The Minister of Public Works and Roads told the Vice-President that the projects are part of the election platform of the Ali Abdullah Saleh and aimed to face he problems of residence for the limited income segments and would be followed by other two stages in accordance to the plan of the election platform.
