Almotamar.net - Member of the General Committee of the General People�s Congress GPC, the Head of the political office Abdullah Ahmed Ghanim said on Friday that statements of Ali Salem al-Biedh do not mean anything for Yemen.

Ghanim added that al-Biedh statements mean nothing for Yemen but there is a conspiracy machinated against the Yemeni unity. Al-Biedh tries to revive his bad act when he declared the secession on the 21st of May 1994 and at that time he was commanding an army in possession of rockets, tanks and warplanes and he could not do anything in front of the forces of constitutional legitimacy. The legitimate power managed at that time to defeat the secession and protect the unity and higher interests of the Yemeni people.

In his statement to the Emirates Al-Khaleej newspaper Ghanim added that al-Biedh then fled panicked to outside of Yemen. He said all that indicates that his present attempt will be doomed to failure without any doubt and the Yemeni unity would remain lofty and triumphant with the help of God and the will of the one people.
