Almotamar.net, Saba - Coinciding with the unity anniversary celebrations, President Ali Abdullah Saleh cut the ribbon for the Police Typical Hospital in Sana'a on Friday.
Saleh toured different sections of the hospital which would be run by a German medical management from the German Hamburg University Hospital. He had a look at equipment and urged a continuous care of treatment tools at the hospital.
The medical institution contains 57 rooms and wards with 120 beds to provide various medical services for the troops and the public.
Opening the hospital, Saleh delivered a speech in which he said though the institution would be devoted specially to treat the troops; the public can be treated at it for symbol costs.
Brining foreign skilled cadres, pointing to German medical doctors who will work at the hospital, to work in the country is aimed to train Yemeni cadres and help initially getting better services.
The CEO of the Hamburg University Hospital Jörg F. Debatin attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech in which he affirmed that the project comes as a result of good cooperation between the German hospital and the Police hospital in Yemen.
"The foremost task of the German medical cadre at the hospital will be to qualify Yemeni medical doctors," he said.
Dozens of projects are inaugurated during unity and other important anniversaries in Yemen.
