Almotamar.net - Political advisor to President of the republic, Dr Abdulkarim al-Eryany said Wednesday the unity has given Yemen historical status and a regionally and internationally deserving position. It has created security, stability, development, Democracy, progress and prosperity, affirming that the “cawing” sounds cannot affect the unity.

In a speech he delivered at a party given I marking the 19 anniversary of the Yemen Republic establishment in Sana’a on Wednesday, al-Eryany has affirmed that the unity has been consolidated by the struggle of the people who had sought for achieving it since the beginning of the thirties of the last century until it had been achieved on 22 May 1990. He added the unity would remain protected by the sons of the people and their next generations.

On his part the minister of state, the mayor of the capital Abdulrahman al-Akwaa indicated that the unity constituted a historical turning-point and great change in the life of the Yemeni people, a triumph of their will and translation of their goals.

Al-Akwaa also pointed out the pioneering example Yemen has presented in 19 years with regard to the democratic practice through parliamentary, local and presidential elections.
