By:almotamar.net - The Penal Court has decided today to order the Judicial Discipline officer to force Al-Watani Bank's debtors to pay off their debts.
At the hearing designated for the trial of the persons accused of holding the funds of Yemen-based Al-Watani Bank, the Court has decided to free Tha'ir Sha'lan on bail and accepted the presence and estates of convict No. (1), Ahmed Al-Hamdani, as a guarantee.
During the session chaired by Judge Najeeb Al-Qadiri, Head of the Court, Mohammed Al-Rawdhi, Chairman of Al-Watani Bank's Liquidation Committee, stated that Al-Watani Bank's debts collected so far amount to YR 1.200,640,000.
An Iranian company has paid off some $416000 of four million dollars it owes Al-Watani Bank, Al-Rawdhi said, adding that the entire amount returned to depositors reach YR 1,216,211,000.
