Almotamar.net - Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh arrived at Sharm El sheikh on Tuesday afternoon on a visit to Egypt where he is to attend the 15th summit of the Non-aligned countries Movement. Upon his arrival at Sharm el Sheikh Airport Saleh gave a statement expressing his and the accompanying delegation happiness on the visit to Egypt for taking part in meetings of the Non-Aligned States.
The president has affirmed the importance of the summit being held under very complicated regional and international circumstances due to different concepts and visions associated with international changeable especially after the end of the cold war , dismantle of the former Soviet Union and transfer of the Non-aligned Movement to as new stage of drastic differences in data and representation of the international order and the new ideas and visions accompanied that confirm that he world of today that witnessed the establishment of the movement for more than fifty years has largely changed in its concepts and visions.
President Saleh said, � we look forward to seeing this summit convention a chance for studying and discussing all aspects of the Non-Aligned Movement regionally and internationally and the successes it has achieved over the past years as well as studying the current challenges and dangers facing our countries and peoples , particularly changes of development , issues of trade , globalization, and environment as well as ramifications of the financial crisis whose effects exceeds the economic side to include other social aspects , among which the terror, poverty, unemployment and social disturbances . We should not miss to mention what the region is witnessing of interactions necessitating considering them with sense of responsibility and taking serious resolutions about them including the dangerous situations in the Palestinian territories and the Israeli obstinacy towards the process of peace in addition to what has happened in Iraq, the Sudan and Somalia. �
