Almotamar.net, Saba - Abdul Kareem al-Eryani, the Political Advisor to President Ali Abdullah Saleh opened on Sunday an exhibition of ancient al-Jaof kingdom at the Sana'a National Museum.

Al-Eryani praised contents of the exhibition, saying that these contents prove that the Yemeni civilization dates back to 2000 year BC.

He also warned from acts of destroying archeological sites in Marib and al-Jaof governorates and other regions, saying that Yemeni antiquities have been sold in European markets

Most of these antiquities came from Marib and al-Jaof governorates and Bihan and Usilan regions, he said.

Al-Eryani also highlighted effort of the Social Fund for Development and the UNESCO in funding the excavation teams of antiquities in these regions.
