Almotamar.net - The Yemeni people, at the forefront of whom leaderships, members and supporters of the General People's Congress Party (GPC), mark on Monday the 26th anniversary of foundation of the GPC ruling party in Yemen. The founding of the GPC has represented the an important turning-point for the Yemeni people on the way of achieving goals of the Yemeni revolution , defending its accomplishments, consolidation of values of democratic exercise and bolstering the national objectives towards more developmental gains towards building the Yemeni modern state.

This occasion also represents a significant stage for looking up to horizons of the future of the GPC action at various levels and aspects under the present challenges facing the homeland and the GPC , which necessitate from it as a ruling party to surmount them with capability and wisdom , as the people used to know it throughout its long march. During its march, the GPC confirmed its ability to overcome challenges bigger than them, realizing every time a victory for aspirations and expectations of the people and to continue leading the homeland to better future horizons. It is the future that the leadership of the GPC, led by President Ali Abdullah Saleh, Chairman of the GPC, continued to work highly for realizing them.

On this occasion the GPC organisations have renewed the pledge to President Ali Abdullah Saleh that they would remain loyal and sincere to all the goals and principles on which the GPC was founded for achieving them. At the forefront of which are to serve the homeland and the people , safeguard gains of the revolution and the unity within the frame of committing to the ideals and values that came as inspired from the people's requirements for reaching the more brilliant future under the unity and democracy and enhancement of the process of economic and social development.

In their telegrams, the GPC organisations affirmed that they would stand up to the present challenges facing the homeland and the destruction of accomplishments committed by some elements working for serving the enemies of our people and to abort their conspiracies and would fight for the will of the people and homeland whatever the sacrifices were. The GPC activities also praised the great feats of heroism made by armed forces and security in Saada for putting an end to remnants of insurgency, confirming that members of the GPC and with them all the loyal sons of the Yemeni people , would offer whatever sacrifices for the victory in national battle over the forces of evil and backwardness.

The GPC organisations would also consider indications and meanings of this occasion through the Ramadan activities to be devoted to discussion of different issues relating to the homeland and the GPC.
