By:almotamar.net - SANA'A- Member of the General Secretariat and head of Popular Organizations at the General People's Congress (GPC), Yasser al-Awadhi, said the GPC seeks to make the society more civilized through organizations, and make it effective and join social issues more than political parties.

"I wish civil community organization would be the future parties, become effective in the society, help improve the civil society. Here in the GPC we seek, through all our programs, to support that. We are against the interference of parties in establishing organizations, or undermining them," al-Awadhi noted.
In an interview carried out by News Yemen website, al-Awadhi expected the GPC's presidential candidate will win to a great extent. "We know very well our people. Last month, we made field visits more than once; the first indicators show that the majority of electors vote for Ali Abdullah Saleh. I am that the Yemeni people can maintain the unification, but I am worried about the existence of plans for foreign authorities and local fingers that aim to divide the country. But I am sure such plans are doomed to failure."
