Almotamar.net, Saba - As the Swine Flu (H1N1)-infected cases increase quickly and almost daily, Public Health and Population Ministry has announced the H1N1 cases in Yemen have reach 199.

The number was announced after discovering seven new cases late on Friday. The death cases due to Swine Flu reached six.

Spokesman for the Supreme National Committee to Encounter the International Pandemic of Swine Flu Abdul-Hakim al-Kohlani said that one of the cases is an arrival from the holy places in Mecca after performing Umrah.

Another case was discovered for an Asian resident. The other five cases are for nationals due to contacts, al-Kohlani said, adding that all cases are under isolation and medication.

On infection of a number of Indian nationals working in one of hotels al-Kohlani pointed put that examination of samples regarding them is underway but the result has not appeared yet.

The first confirmed H1N1-infected case was announced in Yemen on June 16, 2009.
