Almotamar.net - A military source in the north-western in Yemen said Tuesday armed forces and security achieved Tuesday a big advance in the area of Al-Ghala and Haydan and launched a sweeping offensive with which they took control of many heights in the area and defeated the sabotage and terrorist elements.

The source added that the attack inflicted heavy losses on the elements of rebellion and terror in lives and equipment, killing 22 terrorists and arresting 7 of them and seizing of quantities of different weapons.

The source added 3 cars belonging to the rebels were seized near Al-Ghail Mountain and 5 rebels from those who were in the cars were killed and two of them captured in addition to seizing of quantities of weapons and ammunition.

The terrorist elements sustained big losses in men and equipment during destruction of many of the rebels positions south of Kuzan Mountain and Damaj as well as destroying a number of cars belonging to the rebels on the road of Alba valley.

Seven terrorists were killed in the area of Al-Markham Mountain and military and security units were able to clear a number of areas near Al-Uqab area and Wahban Mountain, six terrorists were killed in Al-Maqash area, others wounded.

Military units continued their combing the areas around Al-Baraka height and arrested a number of terrorists. A specialized units defused landmines and explosives the terrorists planted in those areas.

A number of terrorists were killed and others wounded in an infiltration attempt into one of the military positions in Razih.
