Those remarks came in a meeting in Sana'a today between the chairman and members of the delegation with Yemeni Deputy Premier for Defence and Security Affairs Dr Rashad al-Alimi.

The meeting has discussed the security situation, combating terror and the assistance the EC can offer to Yemen in this regard.

Al-Alimi for his part praised the support offered by the EC to Yemen in the area of combating terror.
On the other hand Dr al-Alimi held a meeting with ambassadors of the European troika in Sana'a: Spain, Italy and representative of the EC. The meeting dealt with subjects relating to humanitarian aid and continuation of efforts for offering food and humanitarian assistance to the displaced due to the rebellion and terror sedition in Saada province and the district of Harf Sufyan in Amran province.

Ambassadors of the European troika praised the level of services the Yemeni government offers to the migrants in Saada. Al-Alimi on his part emphasized readiness of the government to overcome all difficulties and to work for more efforts for securing services and humanitarian relief to the migrants.

He also pointed to the government's efforts in offering relief and humanitarian assistance to the migrants in the border areas, confirming that the government has bought the migrants' needs and delivering to them and their distribution under the supervision of the relief committee as well as assistance in kind for some families that could not reach the camps.

Meanwhile the minister al-Alimi discussed with the French ambassador to Yemen arrangements concerning the opening of Belhaf project for gas besides the discussion of relations of cooperation in different areas.

Al-Alimi praised the French support and affirmed the need for enhancing the two countries' cooperation.
