Almotamar.net - The Specialised First Instance Criminal Court in Yemen has on Tuesday condemned 15 persons accused of forming an armed gang and commitment of terrorist and sabotage acts in Bani Husheish and judged of execution of 4 of them and imprisonment to 11 of terms between 5 to 15 years.
The sentence read out by head of the court Judge Muhsin Mohammed Alwan stipulated the execution of the condemned Ismael Muhsin Abdeh al-Shawkani, Fahd Qaed Naji al-Samin, Hifdhallah Ali al-Tuhami and Omar Hussein Mohammed Murshid al-Shawkani.
The court sentenced defendant Ahsan Ali Mohammed Farie al-Shawkani to 15 years in jail, 12 years for 4 other defendants , 10 years in prison to other five , 5 years in jail tone one of the defendants and one defendant the court considered the period he spent in custody as enough.
The general prosecution had in the first sitting of the court on 7 June 2009 accused the condemned of taking part in an armed gang for carrying out a collective criminal scheme for which they prepared their plans to commit acts of killing, explosion and sabotage in addition to adoption of violence and exposure of the safety and security of the society to danger. the condemned members of the armed gang were also accused of preparing for their scheme heavy weapons and explosives and raised money for support, means of transport, preparing positions and digging barricades inside Bani Husheish district and around it and that resulted in killing and wounding tens of armed forces and security men, citizens, women and children and destruction of, blasting and plundering a number of military equipment and vehicles.
