Almotamar.net - Military sources have said Monday that armed forces and security troops in Sufyan axis launched an attack in the past hours on many of the terrorist elements’ hideouts and trenches and destroyed them.

The sources added that the fighters carried out a surprise tactical outflanking operation in terrorists’ hideouts and position. The fighters dragged terrorist elements to the Red Height and put them inside a pincers, inflicting on them heavy losses. Twenty of those terrorist elements were killed, among them terrorist Abu Ali who is considered one of the prominent field leaderships of terrorist elements in Sufyan.

Armed forces and security fighters have also aborted terrorist elements’ infiltration attempts into some positions, inflicting heavy losses on them and forced them to flee the areas.

In Al-Malahidh axis armed forces and security fighters continue pounding hideouts and centres of gathering of the terrorist elements in Al-Masfuh and Sir Al-Mauz and inflicted on terrorists heavy losses. The fighters have also foiled an infiltration attempt by terrorists near Azan Mountain and Al-Jaraeb, inflicting on them great losses and forced them to flee.

The fighters in Saada axis destroyed terrorists’ hideouts in Kozan Mountain and scored direct hits among the terrorists’ ranks that were seen fleeing their hideouts. In the meantime military units continued their advance to the Beit Al-Abyadh and defeated the terrorist elements that were hiding in citizens houses.

On the other hand , Interior Undersecretary General Mohammed Abdullah al-Qawsi stated that security nits continued clearing some residential; quarters of old Saada from remaining elements of cells , clearing 16 houses and inflicting heavy losses on those elements.

General al-Qawsi added that security men destroyed three weapon depots for those cells.
